If you’re backpacking overland through Southeast Asia high chance you will be doing this all overland. Well, if that’s the case, chances are you’ll be heading from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang at some stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But actually figuring out the different options, and which will work for you, can be a lot. Just be aware that if you aren’t up for a 2 day journey, you’ll be stuck flying, which can be a bit pricey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s always the famous slow boat ride or a bus between these two cities, but this takes 2 full days. Plus, there are numerous horror stories, which can definitely make you think twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
