It was then time for todays adventure of zip lining at Aventura Canopy Tours.

The chosen activity was zip lining and not just any zip line, it had to be along the longest zip line in Latin America (though if you are looking at visiting The Dominican Republic why not check out the best ziplines in Punta Cana),ca and the majority of our group was hungover, what a great combination. We were all belted in and geared up ready for zip lining. I had no idea what I was doing. The first few zip lines were fairly easy, flying through the forest. Then came hell, an eight minute uphill trek. I was still dehydrated, wanting to curl up into a ball on the rainforest floor and die. Though, I got over myself, knowing that I would be able to find some sort of water if I reached the end, and that became my inspiration to complete the whole course.

The superman zipline was next- flying over the cloud forest with two ropes attached to a 1600m long cable and unable to touch anything. That was truly amazing and scary.

Though, what was next would truly frighten me, the tarzan swing. Walking to the end of a bridge and swinging over hard ground was an interesting experience for sure. I can think of more colourful language to describe it, but better not on the internet. Honestly, the feeling when your stomach drops is truly the worst part. All but one person managed to successfully do the swing.

Soon enough, we were all back on the bus sleeping off our hangovers from the previous night before. Pulling back into Heredia, we had to a local bar for a beer to celebrate Australia day. We needed up spending the evening jamming some good tunes with an older Tico.
